GRAND BILOXI CASINO WILL BECOME HARRAH'S GULF COAST IN JUNE, 2014
Grand Biloxi Casino, Hotel & Spa will soon be
Harrah’s Gulf Coast
The Mississippi Gulf Coast will soon offer a new reason to draw tourists to the region when Grand Biloxi Casino, Hotel and Spa transforms into Harrah’s Gulf Coast this spring. The Harrah’s resort will build upon the great foundation of the Grand Biloxi, offering new amenities and experiences for the resort’s guests.
The transformation will include a redesign of the casino floor, hotel room upgrades and a new fine-dining restaurant by celebrity chef Kelly English, among other improvements. The addition of hospitality amenities will complement Biloxi’s existing offerings including the award-winning golf course, Grand Bear, the Bellissimo Spa and the beautiful pool. The resort’s collective offerings will solidify Harrah’s Gulf Coast as a national travel destination.
Three new restaurants and bars will offer additional experiences for guests, including the opening of a new fine dining restaurant by Kelly English. The James Beard Award semifinalist and Best New Chef named by Food & Wine Magazine, English will bring his passion for using fresh and local ingredients and flavors from his Southern Louisiana childhood to this exclusive concept located inside the resort. Known for acclaimed eateries Restaurant Iris and The Second Line in Memphis, English will raise the bar in the local culinary scene.
A fast-casual restaurant will also offer another 24-hour dining option for guests. Improvements to the lobby bar will connect the lounge and lobby with the pool deck. The new bar will have large windows and doors to afford guests a beautiful view of the relaxing pool oasis and will serve seasonal cocktails and menu items.
The casino floor remodel will include a new layout that will increase the energy in the resort. The transition on the gaming floor is already underway with all new video poker machines and hundreds of slot machines, which will be upgraded in the coming year.
The transition will begin in early January when the construction platform currently existing on the Grand Biloxi site will be demolished to create a boardwalk and entertainment lawn.
Additional details regarding the transition to the Harrah’s Gulf Coast will be announced in the coming months.
